Infant and Toddler Programs

Each infant and toddler has been created to be a unique and special individual.

The first two years of a child’s life are critical for brain and language development. Babies are born with an amazing ability and desire to learn. They investigate sights, sounds, and the feel of the world all around them through all of their senses. Long before they begin to walk or talk, they need safe places where they can explore. (The body position of non-mobile infants and their location in the classroom will be changed frequently.) Children under two years of age will have a flexible schedule, which reflects the child’s individual needs.

We will provide safe, open spaces for children who are creeping and crawling. Infants and toddlers will be encouraged to play with a wide variety of safe toys and objects that will encourage their language, small motor, and large motor development. You will hear reading, songs, and many conversations taking place in these younger age groups. LifeCubby will be used to share daily documented information between teachers and parents.
