Our Faith

We believe that every person has been created by God to be a unique and special individual.

Because we are a faith-based program, the teachers will incorporate Christian songs, stories, finger plays, and lessons into their daily curriculum and interactions.

The basic idea that each child is created to be a unique and special individual will be shared, as will the Christian principles of kindness, respect, honesty, acceptance, and individual value will also be shared. Children will be invited to say a prayer before meals and to participate in Christian holiday celebrations, such as Christmas and Easter. No specific denomination will be designated, nor will theology be explored.

We welcome all families and children in our program, regardless of their religious beliefs. Everyone is welcome to come; they just need to be able to be comfortable in a Christian environment. No one will be forced to pray, but no one will be discouraged if they choose to join in. We believe that these faith-based principles are a vital part of who we are at Days Gone By Early Learning.

Our Commitment to Healthy Life

Nutrition and Physical Activity
Because we believe so strongly in helping children develop to their fullest potential, we have incorporated positive health and nutrition standards into our program. We will do our very best to offer high quality fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and proteins in the meals and snacks that we serve.

Our center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program through the Department of Public Instruction. Healthy beginnings for all children have become a focus of the State of Wisconsin, and we will do our part to support the teaching of positive, life-long education and skills.

Another component of healthy lifestyles is activity levels. The children in our care, from infants on up, will participate in outside activities each day, two times per day, as long as the weather (and individual schedule for infants) cooperates. There are fascinating things that children can learn outside and wonderful games that teach social skills. We want your child to experience these things and more. We have developed a beautiful playground that will encourage running, climbing, biking, digging, and creative use of imaginations, just like we used to have in “days gone by”.
